Google Play Store is the heart of Android. This is where you can find a plethora of applications including those of utility or entertainment and even apk files for Android games. - Swipe Left
An easiest hack to manage apps installed in your Android device can be done by swiping left after opening the Play Store app. This displays the menu with your account settings and apps.
- Read relevant reviews
While it is important to read reviews and check ratings pertaining to the latest version of an app before you install it in your device. You can click on “Read all Reviews”, then tap on “Options”, and finally toggle to “Latest version only” to read the most relevant reviews.
- Get refunds for app purchases
If you have recently purchased an app and found out it is not what you were expecting it to be, you can actually initiate a “Refund” for the same. This is available on the left of the app page on Play Store. However, note that you will be able to initiate a refund within two hours of making the purchase.
- Manage settings
By default a shortcut of a newly installed app appears on the Home screen which can prove annoying. You can turn this off from “Settings” menu and uncheck the option Add icon to Home Screen. Similarly you can enable the option to “Do not automatically update applications”.
- Use Parental Controls
Go to “Settings” and turn on “Parental controls”. Create a parental lock pin code and use it to set restrictions on apps.
